This action is being taken because pieces of clear plastic may be found in some bags and could cause a potential choking risk to pets. The source of plastic has been identified and the issue has been resolved.

The CDC reports at least 20 cases of Salmonella Tyhpimurium infection linked to pet hedgehogs in the past two years. There was one case in Oregon, and one fatality in Washington state. This action is due to one confirmed customer report where a spore-like structured particulate, consistent with mold, was noted in the solution.
