Leadership Council

The Leadership Council serves as both a brain trust and talent pool for the OVMA, tapping into the knowledge and wisdom of volunteers to consider issues of interest to the Association as well as providing their input and experience on various projects. Under this format, groups of members will explore issues, identify desired outcomes, develop recommendations for board consideration, and review progress on action plans.

A few of the issues and projects presently being discussed may be ongoing, while others will be short term. For example, a task force may be assigned by the board of directors to address a specific, single issue, with a report or recommendation to the board, and then will be sunset. Also, some groups may meet “in person” to address an issue, while others may find communication by conference call or e-mail to be sufficient. This will depend on the nature of the issue.
